Job Title: Volunteer Finance and Administration Assistant

Jobresponsibilities:

  • Under the overall guidance of the Finance and Administrative assistants, administrative officers and working closely with MoH/government of Uganda counterparts
  • Collaborating with partners to facilitate and review the implementation of logistics operations and mobile money payment operations and procedures.
  • S/he will establish/maintain collaborative networks involving local, subnational, and national stakeholders and liaise with other programs and departments.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum a Degree in Business Studies, Accounting with part qualifications in a recognized professional qualification in Accounting (ACCA, CPA or ACA) or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ minimum accounting experience in a busy NGO setting;

Let the public accelerate tobacco and E-cigarette measures

  The World Health Organization is calling on countries in South-East Asia Region to intensify efforts to control tobacco and e-cigarette use, as despite steep decline over the years tobacco consumption in the Region continues to be the highest globally, and vaping is on the rise. “The Region still has the highest number of people using tobacco which puts them at risk of life-threatening diseases such as cancer, respiratory and heart disease. Urgent measures are also needed to control e-cigarettes, which have not been proven to be effective for smoking cessation.
