Data Governance Associate - Finance (12 Month Contract)
Job description / Role
As the Data Governance Associate (Financial Services) you will be responsible for performing data governance activities in line with department objectives whilst supporting the overall business operating model and the needs of the various other business units

Description
* Process data acquisition in coordination with investment/finance departments or external parties (such as Funds, Portfolio Companies, External data providers etc.)
* Investigate errors in financial data, identify root causes and follow standard processes to resolve occurring issues
* Enter and update internal investment data in Efront and other systems
* Ensure the integrity of relevant data received via excel based templates
* Ensure timely updates of the data governance framework
* Ensure and monitor data completeness, quality, accuracy and availability for all investment data
* Develop a good working knowledge of main Efront reports and ensure the completeness and accuracy of reports produced
* Liaise with external data providers and other stakeholders as required
* Escalate any data issues via an established process to the relevant data stewards
* Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all factors relating to Data Governance
* Manage and develop key relationships with external data providers
* Assist the Data Governance Manager and carry out other information related tasks as required

Requirements
* At least 6 years of experience in a data governance role within the financial services/banking industry
* Bachelor's degree in Business or IT or its equivalent
* Strong experience in Efront or related softwares
* Knowledge of data management disciplines and practices
* A background in Accounting/Audit/Risk/Real Estate/Finance would be an added advantage
* Strong soft skills and excellent stakeholder management capabilities
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
* Bachelor's degree in Business or IT or its equivalent
